Macy's Window Display
This was the first photo I took in New York - a mini circus display in Macy's window. The circus opened after my trip was over but the ads looked interesting.
I had also planned on going to the Museum of the City of New York to see the dollhouses on display there but due to weather (and grumpiness) that didn't happen. Next time. I did check out the dollhouse section in FAO Schwarz and a local shop, the Tiny Doll House. FAO was disappointing - the one salesperson was busy and there didn't see to be much stock in that area (it's just one counter and some shelves behind and beside it). The Tiny Doll House is up on East 78th St. near 2nd Ave. It has a big selection of items, except for smaller scales (I didn't see any quarter scale). I'll definitely stop by again the next time I'm in New York. This time I didn't buy much except for some gothic panels and a white owl...I found Hedwig, but am still on the lookout for Mrs. Norris.
