Warner Bros. has opened the Harry Potter Studio Tour outside of London. It includes the 1:24 scale model of Hogwarts! Now if only I was going to be near London sometime soon...
My sister returned from a trip overseas last week and this is what she bought me! It's a paper model of Casa Batllo in Barcelona, 1:120 scale. I've started putting it together and am wishing it was a bit bigger, there are some sections that I've reinforced with tape to prevent tears. I'm finding some of the wavy sections tricky...hopefully the end product will look better than its current state. My current workspace in front of the TV. I'm on step 6 of 20. There are some general recommendations on the back of the package and the first says, "patience is recommended." In other news, my boyfriend is being spared a trip to a miniature show in Victoria, BC - the ferry costs are getting too steep for my taste. Instead, I'll drag him or my sister to another show in June :P I wrote a whole post and then didn't save it properly. Plus, my homepage isn't the blog as I thought. Weebly 2, newbie blogger 0. So let's try this again. I've been taking books out from the library as well as buying the odd title. Here's some pictures of castle-like dollhouses that could give me some ideas if I do go ahead with a custom design.
